Can I play without internet connection?

How can Sims 4 be launched without an internet connection?

Every time the game launches it requires the EA app to launch and then requires me to login to my account.  I want to be able to play the game on a PC that doesn't have internet access but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Why can't I just launch the game without having to connect to EA? I've bought the game and spent heaps of money on expansion packs but can't play the game without an internet connection.
