Cannot Connect to EA servers Sims 4

I downloaded and installed Sims 4, but any time I press "Play" or double-click the Sims 4 icon, it brings me to a screen that says "Error. We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims 4 Limited Edition on this computer using your account. Please try again later."

Before I do this, May I ask what does this do to my computer?  WIll it make permanent change or anything?

Flushing DNS basically empties the list of IP addresses registered by your computer for certain websites, and make it look them up again. It poses absolutely no security threat to your computer.

Good to know you've been able to solve your issue though, hopefully the others in this thread can resolve it with the same steps. 🙂

  • No it is not. I've spoken to 2 different EA Advisors at length, both of whom consulted ther superiors, and none of them were able to provide a working solution for me. It was eventually escalated to a specialist team and was told to await an email from them when they've figured it out. Way to go.

    This solution worked for me

I opened internet explorer and went to the Origin website but did not login. I clicked the little gear wheel in the top right corner of the browser.

    Click Internet Options

    Click Security Tab

    Click Trusted Sites

Click Sites in the little box

A window popped up & had the origin web address in the 'add this website to the zone' box.

    Click Add

    Click Close

This solution worked for me too. Thanks!!!

    Hey guys,

After a pretty great experience with EA Customer Service Aus, they sent me a list of things to do and this one worked for me!

    http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

That's for both PC and Mac... not that there is a Mac version out.

I'm not entirely sure what clean booting my PC did to my computer but now my sims 4 works!

  • Is it okay if I ask you to forward the list to my email? I tried every suggestion here and I still get the error message telling me that it can't connect to ea servers. Please?
