I checked the thread but its not the same issue as I'm having. When both of the sims are at the same location, say at home, I have access to them as expected.
The issue is that with one sim, when that sim is at home, and I am playing another sim of the same household somewhere else I do not have the lightning bolt thingy to call the sim to my current location, switch control etc.
I've worked around the issue by recreating the affected sims, essentially copying them by creating a twin using the genetics CAS mode. These newly created sims do not show this issue, and I deleted the old ones that did have the issue. Not an ideal solution, as a sim with many skills and contacts takes quite some time to set up again with all the required cheat codes.
If there would be another way to fix this issue, that does not require making a copy of a sim, please let me know in case I, or someone else, has the same issue in the future. But the issue has been resolved for me at this time.
I have the same issue :/
