cant add old save files to new laptop

fakeyolk  Try one save at a time, the files that end in .save rather than .verx .  The latter are backup versions of your main saves, so don't delete them yet.  If a save file doesn't load, you can try restoring one of the backups with the same number.  Here's how:

The point is, use the main save if it's viable, and try one or more backups if necessary.
