Can't fertilize plants

When trying to fertilize, I click on fertilize and my sim fertilizes but it doesn't fade out  to show that plant was fertilized. I have tried multiple times to see if it had been fixed yet. Without fertilizing the plants won't make progress toward perfect plants. What does show is what was used is gone. Is there any other information you might need? 

I have brought up lots of plants to perfect previously and shared them in the Gallery for people who don't have the time or patience to grow them. I just like to help people out if I can.
