Can't get Sims 4 to update

WorththeW8​  The folder doesn't exist message is typically related to an overly protective antivirus.  So if you use a third-party program, please set an exception for EADesktop.exe and try again.

Please also make sure that the external drive is plugged in and recognized by Windows, and that it has the same letter assigned (D, E, whatever) as it did when you first installed Sims 4 there.  If you're not sure what letter it should have, check the install location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.
