Can't hear sim voices in CAS

Question

In Create A Sim, the Sims 4 background music plays fine, but the sims themselves don't make any noise. When I click on the voice modifiers to change the pitch, their mouths move, but they make no sound. So I have no idea what their voices sound like. It's been this way for a few days.

Did the latest update change anything in that?

Hi, I don't have any CC. I already updated the sims 4, so a lack of update isn't causing this bug.

Are you music options all turned on? Do your Sims move their mouths?

Yes, their mouths move, but there is no sound in CAS. All music options appear to be turned on. Are there any music options that specifically that should be turned on to prevent this?

The voices worked fine prior to last week, then I updated and I started to experience this issue of moving mouths with no voices in CAS.
