thesoulfulsoul Please test without your Mods folder.
If you still can't play as the other sim, try a different sim, one you've never played before and that is a default resident, as in, one already there when you start a new save.

I removed my mods folder and made a brand new save and I was able to play as another household so the issue may be cc or a mod I have. I did download some cc a day or two ago so I will try playing without it because I think that I was able to play as a different household before I downloaded that cc

Never mind 😭 It didn't work so the issue is something else
thesoulfulsoul When you say it didn't work, do you mean that the new save is affected, or the old save is still affected after you've removed your Mods folder? If the latter, please try a different, previously-unplayed, default sim or household in your main save, as I mentioned before. It's possible the mods broke the sim you can't play with.

Removing the recent cc that I downloaded didn't fix the issue. I went back into the save that didn't work and the issue still happened. I'm gonna try playing the save I made to test what would happen without mods with mods so see if the issue is with that specific save file that wasn't working or not.

I tested it out on the test save file and I could play as a different household. I'm kinda scared that the save file it didn't work in got corrupted or something 😭
thesoulfulsoul Again, if you are in your main save, and you try to switch to a different household, but one that only has sims you've never played before, can you switch and play that household? I'm not sure from what you've said—it's possible you tried that, and possible you only tried with the one sim that gave you trouble in the first place. I want to know whether different sims work for a very specific reason. If you can, please try sims that are already in the game when you start a new save, for example the Pancake household in Willow Creek.

Okay for context the sim that tried to move in with the other sim is my own that I made and they were trying to move in with Judith Ward. She did move from her house and world, got married to a randomly generated townie, and had kids with them but I moved her back into her old house without her husband or kids so that may be the issue?? And yes, I did try it with the same sim (Judith) and haven't tried any other sim but I'll try again with a different one in a different world.

Okay so somewhat bad news, the save has existed for some time so NO og townies are in their houses but I'll just try it with one of the random sims in a different house and world.
Tested it out and it worked so I think it most likely a issue specific to Judith. I'm doing a legacy challenge and moving in with Judith helps me out tremendously in the challenge so that's annoying. Is there anyway I can fix this? 😭

Okay update: I did some research and Judith is most likely corrupted. Idk how it happened but I'll try my best to replace her
