My daughter brought the Sims 4 game. She opened the origin account and installed the game ok. She then didnt play the
game for 3weeks and forgot the password. She was then prompted to reset her password and open another Origin account
the when you went to play sims 4 it would not let you use the same product code.
She is now unable to play the Sims game. What do we do now???
Community Admin@paigecarmody Hey, when the password was reset there's no need to create a new account. With your new password just log into the same account that was used before and the game will be there to download.
You can set Origin to remember the password/autologin, so there won't be a prompt for details every time someone wants to play.
I believe you can only play this on the original origin account, as my understanding is that the game has a single use code. It would seem logical that they would, or you would be able to request that they would send a confirmation of your password (or new password to your / your daughters email address), or something similar to that. There should be no need to reinstall the game, only to open it up from the "My Games" menu once you're into the original origin account. Hope this helps! 🙂
The issue was that when the request to reset the password opened a new account was crreated because no one could remember the password. So since another account was created the activation code will not be accepted by Origin. Just to say, having to create an account for a game that I purchased and installed on my computer is freaking nuts.
A game advisor should usually be able to help you access your old account again if you can prove it's yours.
