Can't login to game from EA App
I'm trying to log into the Sims 4 game but am unable to do so. I played about 24 hours ago but haven't been able to access the game since. I can get to the EA App, but I click on play, nothing happens. No error message, it just goes right back to the EA App. I've tried to repair twice, removed all mods, tray and caches. Still no luck. My internet connection is fine and my updates for the game and Windows 10 is up-to-date. I'm in New Zealand. I can play my other games without issue. Please help.
@ChiKiwi2016 Does the EA App look like it's loading normally? If not, please force it to update. Go here:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
And launch the EAUpdater.exe.
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If you still can't play, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
