Cant open sims 4 ("game being prepared" loop)

I cant open sims. The window saying "game being prepared" keeps opening then closing again and then opening again and closing. This cintinues indefinitely or steam finally gives me a message "opening the game failed".

Ive tried uninstalling both sims and the EA app but it still doesnt work. I think somehow steam and ea end up in a feedback loop with steam trying to open the sims game, and ea failing to do so.

Does anyone know that problem or how to solve it? Restarting the computer, clearing the cache, Canceling tasks in task manager, repairing ea app, checking the documents via steam for damage, etc didnt work.

Im getting annoyed.

same ea account. just somehow suddenly didnt work. Yesterday it suddenly started working again. I guess there was a problem with the ea app itself and steam didnt know that so it kept trying to open the game.

ive tried uninstalling sims, ea and steam several times, tried to unlink steam from ea and tried to download sims via ea (didnt work).
I still get stuck in that damn loop. The game still doesnt open.
The only thing left to try is to uninstall the packs on the ea app but i cant fund a way to do that. where do i uninstall all packs and all traces of sims so i can restart?

Ive finally got an error message, though it doesnt make much sense gramatically. it translates to "While starting game already running a mistake appeared."

deleted sims game from steam, restarted computer, redownloaded sims via EA app, now getting message "an update is required to launch this game". ive checked, there are no updates available, whats going on?

@91770894 Just to be clear, did you use your current EA account or a new one to try to play Sims 4 through the EA App? I ask because I'd like to know whether this is an account issue or a computer issue.

The update required message is a Known Issue:

I don't think there's a current fix for it, but you can read through that thread for suggestions to try.
