Can't open the Sims at all

Hi, so recently I think something related to EA updated and I cannot open the sims at all. I play on steam and when I open it on there, it shuts down immediately after I hit play. If I use EA, it also shuts down immediately. As far as I know, I've uninstalled, redownloaded, got rid of all related files, tried repairing the game multiple times and nothing is working. It started around some time last week and I've gotten rid of all possible mods that could be conflicting with the game. I don't know what to do here.

This is exactly what is happening to me. I can't open Sims at all and I have deleted and re-downloaded everything. No idea why

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
