updated my Sims 4 game recently and now it wont play it pops up saying it needs to be updated i select update now and it goes very quickly saying it is up to date try to play and it wont allow me ...

Try deleting your Origin cache or repair the game by right clicking on the game on the Origin client
I have the same problem, but this suggestion doesn't work for me.
Anything else?
