any time i try to click 'load game' in the home screen, nothing happens. i hover over the button, and it just stays the same. it hasn't done this before, it only started doing this after tuesday's (july 16th) update. i can press 'new game' and the arrow button so i can play the newest game, but not any of my older ones. is there a way to fix this?

This is usually related to having notifications enabled in Windows. Although you may not see the notification itself, your computer thinks you're clicking that and not the game. Disable notifications while you're playing and see whether it helps.

You can also try to change resolution settings in the game options - try the highers first, or try to play the game in windowed mode to move this part of the screen from the place of displayed notifications
okay it seems to be my mods folder but uh how do i use mods without this happening?
Custom content can get outdated with patches. If it works when you remove your mods folder, then one or more mods/cc is no longer compatible with the game and you have to find those.
