Can't save my sims.

I just started playing today and every time I try to save my sim, the save buttons are greyed out, and when I exit the game, it says "game is currently in a state where saving isn't possible". I'm not sure how to fix this. I had downloaded on steam and had Curseforge mods running, but I disabled all the mods and I was still unable to save, so I uninstalled the game, reinstalled and still, won't work! Idk what to do.
