You need to uninstall the game. When you reinstall choose the correct language.
I did. Twice. Each time the game wouldn't launch.. had to repair the game. Then I was able to launch it but it was in Czech each time.....

@izabla94 What language options do you see when you reinstall? And what happens when you try to launch it, presumably in English, and it doesn't work? For example, how far do you get, and do you see an error message?

So right after the latest update (the crystal something something- 2024) a message popped out: "Failed to launch the game. Try a little later." in English. I then ran to google and found a suggestion to repair the game, which I did. Launched it again- got happy, but it was allllll in Czech. Then went back to reinstall the game through the EA app. The only language available was English, so got happy again... but the game was still in Czech after the reinstall.
My only explanation (?) could be the fact that I purchased the game, base game, in 2014 back in Poland (where Czech could be on the list of languages, some other people online mentioned Romanian was on the list as well) moved to UK same year... then sims 4 was crap for a while, only started playing properly in 2016 (Although I will never drop sims 2/ sims 3 <3)... I would always get DLCs on origin, the game was always in English due to my location...
Long story short: I FOUND A FIX. I got the base game on Steam, connected it to EA app (Origin was bad, but ea app is the worst), and now launching it from Steam, with all my owned (55) dlcs.
It took me a moment to figure out. + EA Help chat was rubbish, they just sent me few links, I don't think they understood what I meant- they kept telling me to change the EA Apps language......
so yeah, I guess that's fixed for a while?

@izabla94 There have been intermittent issues with language locks and the EA App. I'm not sure exactly what happened in your case, but I've flagged it to someone looking into these issues. That's not to say you can't just play through Steam and be done with it, but I imagine it would be nice to have the flexibility to choose what type of install to run.
