So many reports now that removing cc sofa fixes this issue so I'm going to mark this as solved for now.

I was also having what sounds like the same issue right after installing Cats & Dogs. I finally moved my sims out of their home, onto a random lot, and then moved them back into their original house, and it fixed my issue.
Thanks for this suggestion!! I moved the family into a new house, they ate again, but when I moved them back still no eating. I had to save the house to my library, delete the lot, add the lot back from the library, and move the family back in. Then it worked, they ate! Ugh. Annoying.
That is super annoying. I had this issue occur for the first time tonight but moving my sims out of the world and loading them back into the house from the library seemed to work. My girl is eating now, thankfully. When I first started playing she tried to grill hamburgers and caught on fire. I thought that may have had something to do with it. I have no mods or cc at all, so that was not the issue. idk what was but seems to be okay atm.
I tried doing that, when I moved them out they could eat in the new lot but when I tried to move them back I kept crashing.

Do you have any additional Custom content ( CC )?
If so, is your custom content in seperate files? egt. Mods, poses, hair, clothes
If so, Please take out your 'Build mode / build buy ' Folder, This could help, I am testing it as of now.
