[CC related] Sims 4 cc not

I recently performed a soft reset on my laptop and had to reinstall the sims 4. Before the soft reset and reinstall my mods and custom content were working fine but when I reinstalled it all my mods were there(I had about 676 or so) and I downloaded a lot of new custom content yesterday and today. Everything I had downloaded from All About Style was corrupt(about 50-70 files) and after I deleted it none of my mods would be registered by the game. The pop up the opens at the start of the game won't pop up and when I open it manually it's empty.

I tried:

-Moving the EA folder to my desktop

-Moving the EA folder to my one drive folder

-cutting the cc files and making a back up folder, leaving the mods folder empty for ten minutes, before copying the files back into the folder

-deleting the resource.cfg and restarting the game.

-The cc and script mod options are checked.

They aren't in the game at all and I don't want to delete and reinstall 710 custom contents or my game. On my wifi it takes literally two days to download the game. Is there anything else I can do?

The attached screencap is the first files in my mods folder. There is no subfolders, zips, or non .package files.

I can see that you are on Onedrive. Please try the folder in this path instead:

    C:\users\username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

  • I deleted all extra folders and now the only existing electronic arts and mods folder and nothing is showing up. Everything is set as it was when it was working. It keeps getting rid of the mods in the mods folder and I kept butting them back from the back up folder. Now all of a sudden all my custom content and mods are gone. I'm going to try installing custom content. I'll update. I've attached a photo of the mods folder as it is now.

  • If you read my post in detail you would  know that I did ;-;

I tried everything. It is back in documents and all my cc has been deleted and redownloaded and nothing is showing still. The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Like I said that will take at least two days or more so I only want to do it if I have to,

Your screen capture says Onedrive. Please try the documents folder in the path I described.

Also in Game settings check where Screen shots are saved. that will tell you where the Mods folder should be.

Try deleting that Mods folder and start the game. Does the Mods folder get recreated? if it does not then that is not the folder the game uses. You said that you deleted other folders you found. This may be the one the game uses so check if that was recreated after starting the game.

    Hi @Krystiandevibed

I moved this extra info to your own thread as you already have one. Please try to keep to one thread as this keeps all the info in one thread.

    Thank you

Uninstalling/reinstalling the game should not delete your Sims 4 folder or your mods folder within the Sims 4 folder.

Check this path on your computer to see what you find:
    C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

Please note that this is the default path, yours maybe different depending on what drive your game gets installed to.

Did you make a backup of your Sims 4 folder before you uninstalled/reinstalled the game? If so, search your computer for Sims 4 to see where the folder is located.

Search your computer by clicking the Start button. In the search bar, type in Sims 4.

As for the mods or cc not showing, have you made sure they are up to date? Sometimes mods/cc become outdated when when the game gets patched. Then the Mods folder will need to be gone through to make sure everything is still working correctly.

And yet you have not listed the outcome of what I suggested. Please do that so it is possible to trouble shoot.
