Choosing Language
UPDATE 2015-05-30
There is now an easier possibility to change the language. Please make sure to opt in Origin Beta since it's not available on the current version of Origin.

DVD version, Limited Edition, purchased at Yeovil branch of GAME, launched through Origin (do I have a choice about Origin? If so, how do I choose to play without its assistance, if that is the word for it!), UK based, NO DROP-DOWN list of languages, US-English installed.
Pity - in the past, I have installed Sims games in French or German just for a change (and to learn the occasional bit of slang). Now I'm stuck with US-English (or rather, Simglish - or is it merely TV-Teen-sitcom-speak?).
Incidentally, what does "Troll teh Forums" mean? (an option on the Stablet) Is it Troll as in Mountain Troll? Or Troll as a verb from the Parlary language? And is "teh" a Native American word related to the first syllable of the name Tecumseh? Or is it merely another example of the sloppy project management evidenced by the garbage called The Sims 4 for which I have just paid a sum of money that would have purchased me four decently written and properly edited paperback books - in any language I happen to be able to read?
Note: I am writing this because I wish to give the product a fair chance - but before long Sims 4 is likely to follow Sims 3 into my "oblivion partition" as a game that is not worth the bother of launching. Luckily I still have all my Sims 2 stuff - not perfect, but a hell of a lot better than Sims 3 ever became for days when one feels like a bit of undemanding and legal people manipulation!
Are you sure it installed from disc and not download ? You should get a choice in the UK from the DVD version.
