clean folder has my saved files, but wont show them in game
hii,
My sims 4 would crash during launch and take me back to the EA homepage. So far I have tried:
1. reinstalling EA and TS4
2. Repairing TS4
3. Re locating my mods and cc content
4. Disabling OneDrive sync
5. Ending tasks in CTRL Panel
They only way the game runs is after having moved the EA folder to my desktop. I checked my Saves folder, and everything is there, but when I load sims it wants me to start a new game. I'm scared I have lost my sims world and don't know how to retrieve it .
@ferny1834 Moving the Electronic Arts folder to the desktop removes, but doesn't delete, your user data, including saves. Sims 4 can't read the data when it's been moved. That's the point of the test: to see whether the game will run with no added content. It sounds like that's the case for you, which is great: it means that the problem was something in that folder you moved.
You can now move your saves back to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves, and the game should read them again. If not, make sure you're working with the correct folder. Here's how to find it:
