clock frozen & stuck on pause mode

in one specific save , (its a save as from a save file i downloaded if that helps) the clock freezes and i cant click on anything , speeding up or pausing doesnt change anything . after a minute it goes back to normal but does it again straight away. my sim still moves and the game isnt actually paused it just says that it is. i have tried reinstalling nvidia drivers , moving my mods out of my game , moving the sims 4 folder out and copying the save into the new folder, repairing my game. nothing has worked. it only happens in this save but i dont want to delete it so im wondering if theres a way to fix it.
