Continuous Sims 4 issues with current Origin update
I haven't played the Sims 4 for months and just yesterday tried to go on and play it. When I logged into Origin, it wanted to update my game. After the update, I clicked on the "Play" button to play the Sims 4. The screen turned black and then went back to my desktop screen to display a prompt sign saying,"Unable to start: Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play The Sims 4." From what I can see, Origin is running and it looks perfectly fine. It also shows a code at the bottom of that same window. I looked up to see if I could fix this but so far I haven't found any solutions to do this. This is what I have tried so far:
1.) Uninstall/Reinstall Origin
2.) Uninstall/Reinstall The Sims 4
3.)Delete C:\ files from Origin folder like C:\ProgramData\Origin and so forth. However I was unable to find the files under a user name like," C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\"
4.) Run as administrator
5.)Did that Clearboot thing for Windows
6.) Went to task manager and ended all origin processes
6.) Did that update to fix Origin. This one to be exact: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/INFO-Games-not-opening-after-latest-Origin-update/td-p/4435504
I've tried just about everything, have read every question on here to get some answers that could work but none of them have so far. I'm running out of options and don't wanna be stuck with a game I can't play that I've spent money on. Maybe this question could help out others like myself to get some answers.
