Corrupted game after downloading mods

RhiBax​ Redownloading a mod that doesn't have a new version won't fix it if it's broken, and there are lots of broken mods online.

Run a Game Repair and generate a new user folder, then test again: 

1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop and rename it.
2. Run a Game Repair in the EA App. (If you use Steam, the equivalent is Verify Integrity.)
3. Launch Sims 4. You should get no list of mods on launch, and you should have no option to load a previous save. Reset your Options.
4. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

luthienrising​ thank you for your help. I followed your instructions but unfortunately it still happened in a brand new game. I created a sim randomly, moved her in and clicked to watch tv, she went in and stood in front of the tv dancing. I told her to sit down, which she did but the action said she was taking a bath?? Then I clicked to go for a nap in the bed and the action showed up that she was doing it but she hadn't moved.

Consider trying an uninstall and reinstall. 

luthienrising​ I haven't put any mods back at all, they've stayed on my desktop because the issue was still there on a new game. I'll try uninstalling & reinstalling. I moved my saves before updating mods, do you think it will be safe to move them back once I've reinstalled or should I just start from scratch?

Update: ok, it's officially broken...I did a complete uninstall and reinstall via Steam (I removed the files from the EA folder first) and it's still bugged....how can I fix this?? I've moved the save and mod folders from the desktop to my google drive (not connected to my PC) and it's still happening....

Update 2: I've attached a video showing that half the actions work and half don't. Some actions are stuck and don't cancel (apologies for the awkward camera work, I was trying to video on my phone so you can also see the actions on the side)

Could you please test with a premade Sim in a premade lot?

Hi, it still is happening unfortunately. 

Are you on a PC or a Mac? And to confirm, when you're testing this, you didn't put any old content into the new user folder? You left your saves, tray, and mods in the backup.

luthienrising​ sorry for the delay, EA Forums wouldn't let me log in for days!! I play on PC and when I'm doing all my tests, all the files and folders have been recreated following an uninstall and reinstall and I haven't added anything to them so they should be "clean" folders. My saves, mods and tray are saved under a folder on my desktop called "Test".
