Crashes after about 2 minutes of gamep

The Sims 4 launches normally through the EA app, but after about 1–2 minutes of gameplay the game suddenly closes without an error message. I have already repaired the game, updated both the EA app and Windows, and removed all mods. The issue still occurs.

Any idea what might be causing this issue?

  • GBruce325  Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see.  Try again to load one of the saves that gives you an error code 111 and see whether you get a new LE.  If you do, open it (Notepad is fine), copy its text, and paste it into a reply here.

Please continue to test with no mods or custom content present.

I am having the exact same problem, the only reason given is error code 111:41812468:5352B77. Not how to fix or who to contact. I've removed all mods, repaired the game and cleared cashe and still won't load a household. Old saves won't let me enter a family at all and new saves are fine in the small play test i did without any cc or modded content. It's my old saves that seem to be causing the crashes.

  • Maximeboug  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
