Crashing After The Royal & Legacy Expansion Pack

Good Day Everyone,

My game version is 1.121.361.1020 and after adding the Royal & Legacy Expansion Pack my game has been crashing nonstop as soon as I try to load my active sim household. My mods folder is organized by creator's name. Things I have tried to resolve the issues is as follows:

  1. Numerous 50/50 method.
  2. Removing/Adding creator's folder one by one.
  3. Deleting the Electronic Arts| The Sims4 folder and create a new one.
  4. Start a new vanilla save.
  5.  Start a new modded save.
  6. Turned off my anti-virus and firewall protection software.

The game will load to the world view but once I try to load my current household it crashes to desktop.

I will attach a copy from LastCrash File and Last Exception from a new vanilla game. Also a copy of Better Exception by Tmex and MCC from Deaderpool

Vanilla Game Last Exception File-> The Sims 4 Royal & Legacy Expansion Pack - Pastebin.com

Vanilla Game Last Crash File->The Sims 4 Royal & Legacy Expansion Pack - Pastebin.com

I don't know what else to do in order to solve this crashing issue. Has anyone know of a temporary or permanent solution please?

    Here is the DxDiag Information.

Forgot to mentioned I don't normally play with premades families. When added the Royal & Legacy Expansion Pack and loaded the game to the world view for the first time, I didn't evicted the premades families from their home in the Ondarion world. I deleted them directly from the manage household. Don't know if it has anything to do with the crashing just thought I should mentioned it just in case. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do, Thanks.

  • Katiardguez  Your dxdiag crashed at least twice while running, which could be a fluke but could also be a sign of a more serious system issue.  Either way, it means that the dxdiag doesn't have most of the relevant information, so I'd like to see a new one.  First, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Click Windows key-X and select "Powershell (Administrator)" or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)" , whichever you see
    • In the window that appears, copy and paste "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" without quotes, and enter
    • The system will take a little while to validate; if it throws an error, please list it
    • Otherwise, copy and paste "sfc /scannow" without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive

Restart your computer, open Windows Settings > Update & Security, click the box to check for updates, and if any install, restart again afterwards.

I've seen a few reports that deleting some of the premade noble sims breaks saves or at least causes some issues.  So please test a new save first, to see wehther the game overall is running properly.  If you get another crash, please post a new dxdiag.

    Good Day Puzzleaddict,

The message I received is " Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. I also attach a photo of the message just in case.

After following your advice, I tested the game by starting a completely new save in vanilla mode, and it loaded without any issues. I then repeated the test with all my mods installed, and that save also loaded normally. Based on these results, it seems the problem isn’t with the game itself or with my mods, but specifically with deleting the premade families in the new world, Ondarion. Removing those households appears to be what triggers the loading issue. Thank you again for taking the time to help me troubleshoot this.
