Hi, I've had Sims 4 since it came out and it has always crashed the odd time but I've recently began playing my game again and it is non stop crashing, it's getting intolerable. I can't play the game for a solid 20 minutes before it freezes and a reoccurring pop up box says The Sims 4 has stopped working. I'm not a computer whiz so solutions I have read make no sense to me but my computer has all the correct requirements I am sure. Please can anyone who has experienced this help me out before I give up completely? Thanks in advance!

Do you have and mods or CC installed?

Yes I do have some cc but I have checked it with a mod detector and everything seems to be safe

Yep I did that yesterday and for a short while it did fix the problem but I'm experiencing the same thing again today I am so clueless to what is causing this

Please follow this how to on how to gather your DxDiag.
You can post the DxDiag by attaching it to your next reply.
Don't paste it directly into your answer, because that won't fit.

Try taking out the mods folder and test the game without.

Your graphics card driver is from 2014, which is pretty old, do make sure to update that. You have an Intel.

Other than that your system isn't the greatest to game on, so make sure to keep the graphics settings on a lower level.

Ooops, what sort of computer or laptop would you suggest? Thanks a lot for your help I shall try lower settings and see if there is an improvement

Personally I have a good experience with Alienware, but Razer has good stuff too.

Something build for gaming is always good. But if you don't really game other than The Sims 4 that might be a bit too expensive.
