[CURRENT ISSUE] In-game computer lags/freezes time/crashes game

@Niniel So I just removed my save folder and created new one, and it's definitely working better. There is a 1 second delay maybe, but not as bad as with my old save. I'm gutted, since I had my old save for years and have generations there, so need to decide of this little bug is worth whole of my Sim family :P hopefully this gets sorted soon.

@roksi_86  You could try loading the old save in a clean user data folder.  Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, launch the game to create a clean folder, and quit.  Go into Saves the folder you moved, copy your main save (right-click, Copy) and paste it into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves.  See whether the issue with clicking on the computer is still present.

You can also try manually recovering a backup save, again copying the save file into the clean folder.  Here's how to manually recover a backup:

So I picked up Eco Lifestyle and things have been pretty good so far. It may help that last week I cleared out all CC having experienced a few too many bugs.

There is one minor thing however; when interacting with computers in game, where before the interaction menu would appear pretty much instantaneously when clicking them, now it takes a couple of seconds. This is for all computers, desktop and laptop.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm having trouble getting my Sims to use the computer. It started right after the recent updates before Eco Lifestyle came out. When I click on the computer everything freezes. I can move the camera but when I click on items the menus don't show up. I have to travel out of the location and back again and it seems to work. They can use it automatically by themselves but I cannot direct them to it. I have no cc. I deleted Origin and my Sims 4 and downloaded it again and it is still not working. 

Also, none of the computers work in any of the worlds. I have deleted the computer and replaced them and still no luck.

I've had problems with using the computers

i have tried EVERYTHING. i don't even have mods.

 deleting it and buying it back, etc. nothing works. and to make it worse after i click on the computers everything on the sims 4 acts up

please help

I am having the same issue. Hoping they can fix it because I cannot start over. I am on my 14th and 15th gen and have 400+ hours in my legacy. 

Interacting with computer causes clock to stop and all sims freeze. No controls work and I have to actually hard restart my computer because CTRL ALT delete takes about 30 min to load ☹️ 

I am crying I took 3 vacation days from work to play ECO and I have not been able to play more than 3 hours the past 2 days due to tech issues. I am so disappointed in EA. 

After installing ecoliving my game started to behave weirdly. My sims are not be able to use the computer anymore, all the interactions just not appear.

And also my game just crashes when I try to save.
I don't have any cc or mods.

@livciv  Please test in a new save, and let me know whether either of the problems still happens.

You can also try using "save as" rather than "save."
