My Dad recently gave me his previous computer, but I wanted to go ahead and patch it so I could move the folder to the new (to me) computer to save download time. But when I did it, I then tried a Repair, and Origin locked up hard. After shutting down and restarting, the game acted like it wanted to update again. I did a successful Repair, but it still said Update, so I uninstalled it, since I now had no choice but to reinstall from scratch on the next PC.
So this is an actual issue and not just me? Yikes. 😞
I haven't patched yet on my new install. When I do, though, I'll have to see how it goes, and try the suggestions if it goofs again.
