Hey, ive browsed this forum and havent found a solution that works for me yet.
Unable to start: the sims 4 is already runnning
Im using EA app.
I uninstalled every pack as well as the ea app.
Since reinstalling the game I havent been able to open it as i get this error.
I have tried repairing the game several times, clearing cache in the app, restarting my computer and checking task manager(the game is never listed anywhere there).
I have tried to run as administrator and continue to get the same error.
all ea app and sims are granted permission with windows defender.

I'm having the same issue and have tried the same things.
The only thing that lets me open my game is playing as a different user on my computer. Not sure what that means though
