Hi, after I updated my game yesterday I bought two packs and tried to open the game but it said it was already running. It wasn’t running and I’ve had this happen before so I took out my mods but it still didn’t work. I closed the ea app and restarted my computer but it still didn’t work. I cleared the cache and repaired the ea app and the sims but it still won’t work. I uninstalled the ea app and reinstalled it but it still didn’t work so I am now uninstalling the sims and reinstalling it because I don’t know what else to do. Kinda upset that I just bought two packs and can’t even play the game. I kinda don’t think reinstalling the game will get it to work so if anyone can help that would be very appreciated thank you

Hello @Pinkangelbaby11 , so sorry this has happened to you!
Have you tried uninstalling the EA app through the free version of Revo Uninstaller? If not, give it a try.
Alternatively, check all of the files on your device to ensure that The Sims 4 isn't running in the background as this is a common cause of issues such as this.
Alternatively, create a copy of The Sims 4 folder ( everything inside it will automatically be copied also ) and store the new folder in a different location e.g. downloads, documents etc. Then, delete the original Sims 4 folder stored in the Electronic Arts folder. Now, permanently delete from the recycle bin. Bring the copied folder ( now main folder ) back into the Electronic Arts folder and try to run the game.
If none of this works, visit https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/ for further help.
Hope this helps xx
I don't work for EA but I like to help fellow gamers 🙂
