Juhneevuh Did you try everything listed in the first post? And to be sure, you are in fact getting the "failed to launch game" error? I ask because there are other ways the game might not open that don't throw an error, or throw a different one.
If you are getting the error this thread covers, and nothing in the first post helps, please provide a dxdiag. If you're getting a different error, post a screenshot of that.
