this is my very first time i encounter this type of error... I have tried removing the MODS and TRAY folder. I tried the changing name of the Sims 4 folder so a new clean one could be created... I tried reparing the game and nothing..
Yesterday the game was working fine after installing Gshade... today i decided to uninstall Gshade cause I wanted to install Reshade yet after restarting my pc the game wont open and all it gives is that error message.
EDIT: i managed to fix it with the help of chatgpt! It was in fact the gshade! GShade uninstall left broken DX files which the game is very sensitive to, i had to make sure by uninstalling the game it was removing everything indeed!
fraisez Hi! I had the same problem - it's the Gshade. What worked for me was reinstalling the game and the EA app (+ Steam if you downloaded the game from there). I'm not sure why, but removing Gshade probably removes something from your game.
