A few weeks ago I moved all of my documents out of one drive and on to my computer. After this, when I open the sims 4 my custom content does not show up on start up, and all of my saves are gone. Sometimes it doesnt have my name in the near right top corner, but sometimes it does. I am only given the option to start a new game or new scenario, or open game options. Also sometimes it does not have all of my packs, but if i close the game and re open, they come up as though i only just bought them eg, 'Welcome to Outdoor Retreat!' with the details of the packs and the thumbnail photos. I have not bought any new packs or kits recently, and I do not own all of the ones that are currently available.
I have tried going into game options, other, and selected enable custom content, then restarted the game. Neither the saves or the cc show up on start up still.
I have tried going to the electronic arts folder, the sims 4, and removing the mods folder, then closing my file explorer. A new mods folder did not show up.
I have tried going to the electronic arts folder, the sims 4, mods, and removing the mods from the folder, closing file explorer and then putting them back in
I have tried repairing the game through origin, then renaming the sims4 folder in electronic arts to 'the sims 4 old', opening the game, playing for a few minutes, and then going back into the file explorer, and a new sims 4 folder did not appear.
I would like to get my saves back, but i wont have lost much if i dont. I would like to get it so that i can use custom content again.
Any help would be very much appreciated! <3

@pwalshwaring I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. Please see the first post on page one, particularly the first section ("Restoring missing saves"). If that doesn't work, try the suggestions in "My saves still aren't appearing in-game." The info applies to custom content and other user files as well.
The point here is that once you've moved the files to the folder Sims 4 is reading and everything is named properly, your content should show up again.

@puzzlezaddict Hi thank you for linking me to this thread, it has helped me to understand more of what is going on.
If I go into the Sims 4, the test save I made yesterday is still there, and the file path says that it is in onedrive, which I think means that the game is reading the onedrive folder, as the one I am using. I think that all of my old stuff is on my pc, so how do I make the game use that folder, instead of the one on onedrive. I'm pretty sure that I deleted onedrive off of my computer, as there isnt an option for it in my file explorer anymore, and the only way to access it is to go to onedrive.com and log in.
How do I stop the game from using that onedrive folder, and instead using the one on my PC?
Thanks so much for your help.

@pwalshwaring First, let's make sure that the location of Documents is in fact no longer in OneDrive. Run a Windows search for Command Prompt, launch it, and copy and paste this command into the window:
reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"
Please post the results.
@o0gabo0ga2 I've merged your post with the master thread for disappearing saves. Please see the first post on page one, particularly the "Recover missing saves" section and the "My saves aren't in OneDrive" section if necessary.
