Hello everyone,
Today I went and updated my Sims 4 game. I haven't opened the game in about a week and I saw that there was a new update out so I just immediately updated my game without opening it. After the update was done I went and downloaded some CC, when I wanted to place the CC in my Mods folder I noticed that my Electronic Arts folder wasn't in my 'Documents' folder anymore and neither was my Mods folder, so I just located the folder, and moved my Mods folder to my Electronic Arts folder and I thought I fixed it but I was wrong. When I tried to open my game I got a notification that said there were files missing, which is weird because I did NOT touch anything other than my Mods folder. My saves remained untouched. I still tried to open my game and when I did my entire game was resetted. I did not see the option 'Load game', I only saw 'New Game'. I also had an error code saying 'Delivery Error'. None of my expansion packs showed up nor my saves. I closed the game and found my Sims 4 folder entirely resetted, all of my saves gone, even my tray files have dissapeared. I did NOT delete these files so I don't know what I have done wrong. I repaired my game and re-opened it, my expansion packs did show up but they showed up like I just bought everything, and my saves were still nowhere to be found.
I lost everything, years worth of gameplay. I am devastated. If there is anyone that had this same issue and solved it please help me out. And no I do NOT have OneDrive, I tried everything but no response.
@dinasimss I've merged your post with the master thread for missing saves. Please see the first post on page one, in particular the "My saves aren't in OneDrive" section. You can post the results of the search that section describes here for further help.
Please also double-check that OneDrive hasn't enabled itself somehow. It shouldn't, but that's certainly a possibility with some Windows updates.
