playing sims 4, had created a family and had been putting quite a lot of work into developing it. EA had an update, then when my computer restarted the sims 4 icon on my desk top was not the sims 4 icon, just a generic folder icon. then when I signed back into EA and loaded the game all my game play had disappeared, it was as if had only just installed the game, so exited and clicked repair game, thinking it might just be glitch, but upon reloading, my game play is still missing. I also cant find any way to contact a person at EA. have followed the guide to chat and open a case but doesn't take me any where. PLEASE HELP

Today's patch should restore a proper Sims 4 desktop shortcut. Be sure to delete the broken one before updating.
sorry im not sure what you mean. do you mean i need to delete the desk top short cut for sims 4 or uninstall everything?
@Arellanna You can simply drag the desktop shortcut to the recycle bin, then update the game. Or repair it if you've already updated. If you did update and the desktop shortcut looks normal again, don't do anything to it.
