So I had that issue with the unable to start notifications, got that fixed, then I got that "An update is required to launch this game..." notif, it ended up going away somehow and I opened my game but it gave me all those "Welcome to *pack name*" pop ups with all my packs and I thought it was weird but when I tried to enter my game all my saves were gone. Does anyone know how to fix it? I have a feeling it has something to do with this new pack release or the "An update is required..." notification. Help please.

@mko060811 I've merged your post with the master thread for disappearing saves and other user content. Please see the first post on page one.

Hey, I am hoping you can help me. The screenshot you posted in the beginning of this thread (with the "Slot_000000020 and Slot_000000020-Copy") is exactly what I am experiencing now. OneDrive has been a nightmare for me when it comes to the Sims 4

@HushPuppy305 The file labeled Slot_00000002.save should be usable as long as there aren't any other characters in the name. The one with -Copy in it can be used too if renamed to the proper format. But make sure to change its number too so that it doesn't conflict with the original.
All saves need to go into the folder the game is reading. Here's how to find it:

- 1 year ago@puzzlezaddict Thank you for merging me here. I'm so dumb. I accidently moved my sims 4 folder to my desktop (idk how)

@mko060811 Glad to hear you fixed it.

@HushPuppy305 The first screenshot doesn't show properly for me, but for the second one, I'd move the entire Tray folder out, let the game generate a new one, and move over only the properly-named files, nothing with Copy in its name. If the saves folder looks like that, I'd do the same. If it's easier, start with a subset of these files. Don't delete anything yet; this is just to see what shows up.
And again, saves need to be named Slot_ followed by an eight-digit hexidecimal (0 to 9, a to f) number followed by .save , with nothing else in the name. The files that end in .verx are backups of the save with the same number, so keep those for now in case you need one of them.
