Hello everyone. I am trying to help my daughter with her Sims 4 game.
Currently one drive has fully synched 1.3 gigs from her local my documents EA directory to cloud. She has 1 terabyte of space on one drive. I am hoping to now disable the synch on her local my documents folder and then restart her Sims game so that it recreates directories back on her local my documents directory for the game. Then I would like to move/download her onedrive, previously synched files, from onedrive cloud to her local my documents directory. I am hoping it will be okay to do a MOVE vs a COPY for the 1.3 gigs or should I do a COPY and then later delete the one drive cloud synched files later to be safe since it's a 1.3gig file operation?
I have read many posts on this subject but can't find anything recently. Will this work, is it a good option and what do I need to watch out for when doing this. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
Also I have to ask, why can't Sims 4 simply allow you to choose the install directory. I am not trying to hate on Sims at all, just asking. Just to be clear, I hate onedrive ransomware software. Anything that threatens to shut down your email should be illegal
Thank you
I merged your post with the main thread. Please check the first post on how to prevent Sims from synchronizing with oneDrive.

yeah, I already read that post. It doesn't help me because all my files for sims are currently synched and up in the cloud. The post example doesn't have my scenario. I posted expecting to get replies, instead i get this useless link. thanks for nothing.
