Every time I try to open the game it automatically gives me this error:

Unable to start:

The Sims™ 4 is already running.

[ed35eOea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall both the Sims and the EA app, and restarting my PC.

I've checked the Windows Defender Wall

Origin and The Sims are currently saved onto my external hard drive. When I download to to my computer it doesn't go into the Documents folder or create an Electronic Arts folder
