Since updating to the latest Sims4 update, Bitdefender has flagged the Sims4 as possible ransomware, saying that suspicious code was found. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't load the game anymore. It just says the Sims4 is already running and displays this error code: [ed350ea:29f0076:00000000:18a1d-d51]. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Bitdefender has never flagged a Sims update for me before. Any help is appreciated.
@reiserl13 I've merged your post with the master thread for the "already running" error. It sounds like the problem is indeed BitDefender, and you'll need to set exceptions for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64; or the entire Bin folder they're in.
Sims 4 is obviously not an actual threat, but perhaps BitDefender hasn't been updated to accommodate recent changes to the game's executables.
