Alaska5562 Oh yes, this would absolutely break things if you created the symbolic link incorrectly, or even if you did it correctly but something happened to the external drive. Even disconnecting it and reconnecting it later could give it a different drive letter, which would make the symlink stop working.
Please delete the symlink in Documents and just try to play. If that doesn't work, make a new admin Windows account without adding an email address. You can skip that step.
