Alaska5562 Look, the surefire way to fix this is to edit the registry, as in the link I posted a while ago:
You change the Personal value to this:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents
and you do nothing else. The %USERPROFILE% part tells Windows that you mean this:
C:\Users\your username
without your having to type it out and risk a typo, and leaving you the ability to change your username without breaking your acount (since %USERPROFILE% will always point to the correct location regardless of the name of that location).
I know you're worried about this, but you've spent a lot of time and energy trying other things that haven't worked. This won't break your whole computer—at most it could break your user account, but you have another one already and could fix things from there—but even if it did, at this point it would be faster to deal with that than continuing to wrestle with the problem as we've been doing so far.
I hope I don't sound unsympathetic here. What I'm trying to say is, at some point the goal of getting back into your game, and reasonably soon, is more important than being as careful as possible. If you'd had to wipe your computer a week ago and reinstall everything, that would have been a pain, but you'd have been playing again days ago.
So, change the registry key, confirm that the change stuck, and let's see where you are.
i tried that already, i don't have user account control shows up. when i followed the steps and move to click property there is no location button to click. sims 4 still isn't working...would you like a screenshot? I won’t ask for help if I haven’t try it T.T thjs account as extremely high GP in one drive i brought them so i can enjoy game before things went wrong
