Summarize your bug get error code that it can't launch. suggests deleting Mods, unsitall/reinstall, repair, exiting/relaunching - I have done all and nothing is working.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go from an origin user to an EA user with old Sims 4
What happens when the bug occurs? i get an error message and cannot open the game
What do you expect to see? be able to open the game.
I don't necessarily care if my "progress" is not saved, I just want to be able to play/use the games I have paid for.
@kheals102 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop; if it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.
Otherwise, when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
