Less than a month ago I have been getting this message that reads:
Unable to start:
Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged. If you have Mods installed please remove them and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

Normally, it would tell me which mod it is and I would remove it and never hear from this message for a long time. Unfortunately, I saw this message when my mods folder was around 90gb+ or more so seeking out the broken mod took FOREVER. Nonetheless, I removed it and started playing. I then stopped playing for about a week.
When I got the message and found the mod recently I PLAYED WITHOUT THAT MOD and the NEXT DAY I OPENED THE GAME TO THE SAME MESSAGE WITHOUT adding ANY NEW MODS.
This KEEPS happening. I'm installing mods made only a week ago and it keeps saying that they're broken and need to be removed. I have been playing with mods on this PC for I think 3-4 years now and I've NEVER encountered this before. I've been playing Sims on my external hard drive for years so I don't think that's the issue.
Can someone PLEASE help me? I'm willing to put in the time even privately to go over what I need to do.
My issue:
The game with not start with mods that are not corrupt or damaged. The game will also not start randomly after not playing for a day or two even though it was working before.
What I have tried:
1. Reinstalling the game through my external hard drive
2. Reinstalling the app through my c: drive
3. Repairing the game with and without mods installed
4. Works when I play without mods
5. 50/50 method
I hope I get my issue across. I have yet to find online someone going through something similar. My game is completely unplayable and I am not interested in playing w/o mods. No matter what I do, some random mod is making my game unable to start., I remove it, play, and come back to the same message without changing my mods folder. My last resort is honestly either buying a new computer, a new external hard drive, or just giving up the game altogether which I don't want to do.
@NIYABLU This does sound like more of a system issue than a every-mod-you-happened-to-try-is-broken issue, so I've merged your post with the master thread. Please see the first post on page one.
