redownloaded the sims 4 on my new pc but it refuses to open the game. there’s an error code that pops up everytime now. zero mods on this computer. i’ve repaired the ea app, repaired the sims 4, uninstalled and reinstalled. nothing. just the same stupid error code. the game says it’s open in another location, which 100% not true
i’ve never had an issue with the ea app before. but this is infuriating.
basementgremleen Have you restarted your computer? I mean a real restart (the option that shows when you click the Power icon in the lower-left corner of the screen), not sleep/wake.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Please also post a screenshot of the error, for reference.
Yes. I've restarted my computer multiple times.
It's now a different error from before.
