After merging my cc to reduce my game load time. I then got a message saying "Unable to start: Initialization error at start up. [135dec40:29f00e76:00000084:18a1dd51]". After that, I repaired the game now the game just completely closed and crashed after pressing play.
@tattletalestarng Merging Sims 4 CC doesn't make much difference in load time - the way you want to do that is by turning off the option to show your mods and CC on loading, which is in Options > Other. It also makes it super hard to find broken content or to avoid having duplicates.
Try removing the merged file, deleting localthumbcache, and putting the CC back in in its usual form. That's a good time to also check for duplicates by getting it organized by, say, creator.
