Custom Content Not Appearing in Sims 4

I have scoured the internet for the past few hours and tried many things to fix the issue but nothing is working.

I have both the cc and script mod options enabled in the game.

I have no subfolders.

All files are in the .package format.

I have the resource file in the mods folder.

The overview mods window does not appear when the game starts, despite having the option check and there being cc in the mods folder.

I have tried deleting the mods folder and the resource file, opening the game, and letting it regenerate a new mod folder and resource file, which it did not do. I had to go into my recycle bin to restore the files.

My game is completely up to date.

Laptop mode is off.

It's in the c directory of my system.

I am incredibly frustrated and am at a loss for what to do next.

Is your computer a pc or Mac? Do you have a lot of mods/cc? Did the game just patch? Did you just add some cc or mods? Did the cc/mods ever work?

I have a pc, and I just tried putting in about 65 files of cc (I'm not sure if that's a lot). This is my first time trying to use cc, so I did not previously have any that worked. My game did not recently patch.

IMO - 65 files of cc is a lot at one time. All it takes is one to cause conflict. There are cc that is out dated or just bad. You need to remove the cc and introduce one or two at a time. See if it works. Then introduce one or two more. I would suggest to remove all cc and just try one to see if the cc structure is even working.

This unfortunately did not work; I went through about half of the files one by one, but the game didn't read any of them ☹️

    Hi @SkuSku99

Could you tell us the path of your mods folder? It should be Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods. Is that the path where you have your mods folder?

I am having this same problem! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with strange sim issues. It would be helpful if we could fix it though...
