Custom Content not showing up in The Sims 4
I've downloaded the clothes, put them into the Mods folder, resource.cfg file is there, but the custom content isn't showing up in game, which is weird. Any help?

Yes they are in subfolders - I've only downloaded two custom content, which are both dresses. In my mods folder, I have only subfolders - Tops, dresses, bottoms, accessories, make up and hair. Only resource file is out of subfolders.
The default resource.cfg does not support subfolders.
Either not put them in subfolders or edit your resource.cfg that it does support them

Hi, I have been trying for about two hours. I've went to several forums and I have tried everything. The CC is not downloading into the game.
All I did was go to the sims4.com official website and went to their gallery and started to select items to download. IT said it would appear in "my downloads".
It shows up in my library, but when you hover the "download" button, it is grey and it says it cannot download to game.Any help?>>
Are you talking about Sims and Households ? Those need to be downloaded through the ingame gallery. You can't download them through the website.

its the same for me..ive been trying ever since i bought the game. No CC shows up unless its from the sims community.
i have tried everything.
i am a seasoned Sims player - since 1999 always used cc.
Its spoiling the game for me.

Ive had similar problems. I have alot of cc that im needing for my game and for some reason only some of my cc is loaded in the game and everytime i add something new, it never shows up all it shows is the same cc thats already there. Its so agrivating to find the perfect cc and it to not load up!
If it's only some it's really hard to help you.
Best is to talk of the creator of the cc.
Also make sure you have the mesh if it's a recolor.
I LOVE YOU!!! This was driving me crazy! Nothing I tried worked, until I read your reply saying it doesn't support subfolders. As soon as I took the hairs out of the subfolders (deleted the subfolders too) then went back into the game, it worked! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! :D
What subfolders do you have pictures or examples of what you did step by step?

This link told me absolutely nothing. I've had this problem for 2 weeks, I'm worried its because I installed a zip file without access to "zipping software." My entire save was reset and now I'm kinda panicking. I'm worried about losing all the expansion packs i have now because of this. I tried installing MORE custom content and it never showed up. I'm confused.
Actually, that is incorrect. When you put custom content in subfolders, the cc does/should show up in your game with the default resource.cfg. This happened to me, only with one piece of cc.
yes, cause they changed the resource.cfg with one of the patches. At the time that statement was made, it didn't
I'm getting really mad at myself and game because i have spent hours on hour and for about two weeks now i have been trying to get cc. I download the cc off https://www.thesimsresource.com/ and it worked about a month ago i get back from a trip then delete my cc that i have because i don't want it. I then tried to download more cc to be specific hair and clothes. I open my game it doesn't work, you don't know how many hours i wasted watching/reading videos and article and it was just a waste of my time nothing is working. I have no subfolders either please help i'm getting very frustrated.

if it's only some of the items you will need to talk to the creator of those. Make sure they are still compatible and that they are not only a recolor.

Hello, i tried to read a bit before posting this so maybe someone was having my issue but it seems not.
basically, no matter what i put into the mod folder nothing works. Usually in the game menu a pop up windows shows with the mods i have on and what not
but no matter what cc i put in nothing shows up
i have no sub folders
i checked in game option to have cc enabled
i tried installing one mod at a time
but nothing D:
