Delays in sims' work hours
I have this issue and I don't use mods or cc. It is now affecting my sims going to university class on time as well. Currently my sim is supposed to start work at 8am and then class at 9.30am and 11a...
Yes I meant I had taken out all of my saved games and created a new save file with no other save files installed.
I have spent the last 2 days clicking through and installing all updates and it now tells me that my computer is up to date when I ask it to check for updates.
I have also taken off the automatic time adjustment off for 24 hours and then turned it back on to automatic time adjustment and got the clock to sync.
I have tried multiple times after various stages of this process and as well as once it was all done to see if it was making any difference to the glitch, all with a single new save file to test, but unfortunately it has not solved the glitch. It has helped with the loading screens slightly but unfortunately has not taken away the glitch.
I have also repaired my game through origin and made sure that was up to date as well
@blakkrose Sorry for the delay. Please do a clean boot and try to play. Don't open anything besides Origin and Sims 4.
Ok so I followed the instructions on your link and played the sims and that helped. So what do I do now? Do I leave those things that I disabled in the clean boot instructions disabled?
@blakkrose Something running alongside the game is causing the lag, and the question is what. So you can undo the clean boot, restart your computer, open only Origin and Sims 4, and test to see whether the lag is back. If the game runs normally, great—just don't open the apps you usually run while playing.
If the lag is back, you'll need to experiment with the clean boot process. Try turning off half the processes (be sure to keep track of which ones) and see how it goes. If the lag is gone, the problem is one of the apps you disabled, and if the lag is still there, it's one that you didn't disable. Split the remaining batch in half and test again, narrowing it down until you've found the problem. Even with a long list, this 50/50 method shouldn't take too long.
