Dine In Won't Redownload?

I recently switched to a new computer, and i knew if i just redownloaded the Sims 4 then all my saves would be gone, so i put all my saves in a folder and put it on a flashdrive, then transferred them to this computer, then put them in the same folder I got them out of. The game starts up fine, but it won't let me play any of my old saves because it says Dine out isn't installed? It says first in the game that if i restart the game the pack should download. That didn't work. So i went into the origin thing and it has the button to download, but whenever I click it, it doesn't do anything. i tried updating the game, but all the packs EXCEPT Dine Out updated. Then I tried repairing it, and all my packs EXPCEPT Dine Out repaired. i can't uninstall and reinstall it because on origin it says i don't have it downloaded. Please help! I want to play my old saves again.

  • @BlueRaeDawna  Try clearing Origin's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

and repairing the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, please look within the game's program files to see whether there's a folder for Dine Out.  The default install location is here:

    Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4

Within that Sims 4 folder, if you see a GP03 folder (Dine Out was the third game pack released), delete it, clear Origin's cache again, restart your computer, and see whether you can install it.

If that doesn't help, please let me know whether you've ever had an EA Play subscription, and if so, whether you bought Dine Out separately or only had it through the subscription.

@BlueRaeDawna  Have you restarted your computer since clearing the cache?  If that doesn't or didn't help, clear it again, uninstall it "the hard way":

    https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

and reinstall it using the full installer, which you can find here (this is a. direct download link):

    http://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe

Run the installer as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."

If you can't install Origin, please let me know what antivirus you use, if any, and post a screenshot of any error message you get.
