Community ManagerUsing DirectX 11, I can't use the Alt+Tab to switch windows in Fullscreen mode anymore.
My 2 cents. My game works much worse with DX11 than with DX9, the graphic card loading is about 100% while it's about 50% with DX9, I have 2080Super.
But there is one more significant thing I'm worrying about.
With the DX9 the game supports painting recolors and overrides that use non-standard texture resolutions, i.e. 768, 1280, 1536 and so on, they works just fine and can be used to increase paintings quality in case the original texture size gives too low one and the doubled one is too much for the current painting object size.
So, with the DX11 all those non-standard texture resolutions don't work and this causes a lot of them to be broken, they either show "?" instead of the painting object texture or the object is just missing (invisible) when you try to place it. Please, can this be fixed? I have a lot of such paintings CC and this "bug" really ruins my game.

I have one curved screen monitor, no others connected. I have switched to Windowed Fullscreen and that has allowed me to switch programs mid-game. Also having the black photos issue. How often does the bug occur? Every time I open the Sims4
What is your current game version number? Latest Patch - 1.107.112.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but simtamates, poolside, and fashion street kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load into a legacy save to see that photos taken (not on sim's cellphone) are black/blank. Download art from gallery and it is black sometimes. Try to Alt+Tab while in fullscreen display and it won't let you switch screens.
What happens when the bug occurs? Pictures are black/disappeared. Art is black/disappeared. Sims4 stay on screen display without switching to other display/screen/app, etc.
What do you expect to see? Sims pictures and art displayed as per normal. Able to Alt+Tab out of Sims4 mid-game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Tested with no mods or CC in gameplay and on the gallery - still the same problems. Added mods and CC back in and still the same problems.
Hi there, just wanting to add I'm also having the issue where descriptions over 5 lines long for things like food and items aren't rendering properly. Otherwise the game is working fine in DX11 for me - graphics are nicer, game runs smoother for me and I'm not experiencing any lag, frame drop or other issues. I do think when you guys properly release this that it should be an opt-in thing in the graphics options.
I can't get to the desktop when I'm playing in fullscreen when I press the windows key like I'm used to. I'm using dx11.
@LirraFlirraTry the windows key+D (That's where you switch to your desktop directly).
Optionally, Windows Key + Tab and switch to another desktop screen (and add one to switch to, if you haven't already).
Or, Alt + Tab out like most everything else.
@konansockthat's a feature of Dx11 noticed in other games years ago. The paradox is the old Dx11 engine works even worse than ancient Dx9 in Sims 4...more frequent "non-respondings", broken textures of some hairstyles and objects, even pie-menu icons were affected showing grey-llama instead, etc.
